SUMMER 2009 REGISTRATION INFORMATION

TRY SWIM TEAM FOR A WEEK, BEGINNING MONDAY, MAY 11TH, 2009

   QUICK FACTS:

   WHAT SHOULD WE BRING TO THE ONE WEEK TRIAL? 

    Your child should bring a swim suit, towel, bathing cap if desired, and goggles.

    WHAT IS THE COST OF THE ONE WEEK TRIAL?

    There is a $20 fee for the one week trial.  Should your child decide to join the team, your $20

    will be applied toward his or her registration fee.

    WHAT DOES MY CHILD NEED TO BE ABLE TO DO TO PARTICIPATE?

    Your child should be able to swim freestyle and backstroke across the pool independently.

    WHAT TIME SHOULD I BRING MY CHILD TO THE POOL?

    Bring your child to the pool at 5:00pm.

     IF MY CHILD DECIDED TO JOIN THE TEAM, WHAT ARE THE PRACTICE TIMES?

     The beginner/intermediate team practices from 5:00 - 5:55 pm.

     The advanced team (by coach invitation) practices from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.

     IF MY CHILD DECIDES TO JOIN THE TEAM, HOW MUCH DOES THAT COST?

     When you register your child on May 15, there will be a $45 administrative fee.  (Your $20

     that you paid for the one week trial will be applied toward this fee.)  Thereafter, there are

     three payments:  one on June 15, July 15, and August 15.   The amounts of these payments

     are:  Beginning/Intermediate team $55/month,  Advanced Team (By invitation) $80/month.

     HOW MUCH TO SUITS AND CAPS COST?

     Your child may opt to order a team suit ($55 girls, $40 boys), or wear a plain black racing  suit

     of your choosing.  Team caps cost $15.

     HOW MANY MEETS ARE THERE?

     There are five team dual meets during the summer.  Swimmers must participate in 3 of these

     meets to earn a trophy, and swim at Divisional Championships at the end of the summer.

     WE GO ON VACATION IN THE SUMMER, WILL THIS BE A PROBLEM?

     We understand that many of our swimmers' families take summer vacations.  We can work

     around this, no worries!

    WHEN ARE THE MEETS?

     The summer meets are in June and July, and the awards banquet is in August.  Meets are held on

     Saturdays.  We will find out the exact meet schedule in late May.
